My Story: I have lived in Iowa for 25 years and love it. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Science in Management Information Systems. Like most Council Bluffs folk, I live on the nice side of the river and drive to Omaha for work and well... any thing exciting really. I came to the understanding a few weeks ago that I needed to decide which candidate(s) I would like to endorse for 2008. Living in Iowa has it's advantages when it comes to going to events for democratic candidates. After I learned more on Bill Richardson and throughly investigated his views, it was a no brainier for me. I not only believe that he is the best candidate for me, but also for the democratic party as a whole. He is loved in the Latino communities, throughout the NAACP, and by women's rights organizations. He has an international resume that is quite extensive, and there is nothing on there to be ashamed of. Unless freeing POWs and having peaceful and successful talks with Kim Jong-Il and Saddam Hussein are bad things. Ideas like letting Iraq handle their own civil war and letting them push out terrorists after we leave. It sounds crazy, but it is the same ideas that the new Iraqi leaders have and want. The best part about him is that he doesn't have these dreams in his head, he has real-life experiences that he can put to work. I think I was supposed to talk about me in this Section, but who cares about me when we have over 300 million people to worry about here.
