My Story: As immigrant minority the reason I support Governor Richardson in his candidacy is because I believe he has the right experience to do a very good job as the President of this nation. He has a viable energy plan for the next years and he seems to be less influenced by the control that the oil barons exert on the politics of today. Living in times where terrorism is directly related to the money we invest in oil rich countries we need to find the leader whose policies will benefit to the many instead of to the few. Patriotism and pragmatism are some of the motivations of Governor Richardson and I believe he is in a good position to lead the country together by bringing the ideas that can help America to do a great leap into the global commerce while becoming energy independent. Governor Richardson was secretary of energy during an important period of economical growth in the country. I wrote to Governor Richardson and I think I can trust in this man as our next President. I am particularly proposing to him the concept of “gravity energy” as an alternative to resolve the problem. Gravity is already used as a source of clean and abundant energy in hydroelectric and tide energy. We use the weight of water to move turbines and the fact is that we can use the weight of solid masses (gravity) as well as a source of energy. We need to bring this concept to the National Laboratories we have to start doing the testing and bringing students and American engineers to work together in order to improve this engine in the same way that the internal combustion engine was improved during more than one century. Gravity can become the ideal source for protecting the planet and the environment. We do not have many choices; obtaining energy becomes more expensive every day and our National Security depends on it. By using solid masses it is envisioned that we will be able to generate power virtually anywhere and in the presence of those conditions we would open commerce even to a larger scale than the one of the industrial revolution. The country needs a new wave of believers and doers. Good leaders can create good policies and the rest of the country, private property; equal rights, capitalism and freedom do everything else.
