Richardson for President – Granite State Internship Program

The Bill Richardson for President Campaign is looking for dedicated, hardworking enthusiastic interns. Be a part of history by interning in our New Hampshire Offices, and earn college credit too. This promises to be the experience of a lifetime. Our campaign prides itself with being an open, positive, grass-roots campaign-where interns are given the opportunity to make a real difference. We are looking for interns for two time periods: 1) Winter break (between semesters/trimesters) and 2) Spring Semester/Trimester. These internships are:

Intensive Internships:
These internships are at least one week in duration and are offered during winter break (between semester and trimester breaks). They are offered from Dec. 1 to Jan 10.

Full-time Internships:
These internships are for the entire Spring Semester/Trimester. Interns may be offered the option of continuing with the campaign to another state after the New Hampshire primary election.

What Interns Do:
Our campaign prides itself on the personal contacts we make with EACH voter. Interns will be responsible for planning and implement voter contact activities including phone banking, canvassing and GOTV (Get-Out-The-Vote) efforts. Interns assist in planning and staffing campaign events. Interns will also be responsible for word processing, data-entry and attending various public functions.

We are also seeking people with;

• Information technology administration experience, including LAN set-up and maintenance, Access development, Windows Vista and Office 2007 troubleshooting.

• Press or writing experience, to work with the communications director drafting press releases, letters to the editor, and blog posts.

The Richardson for President Campaign cannot provide cars or transportation. In some cases, the campaign may be able to assist with supporter housing. These are unpaid internships, but the campaign is willing to work with students on achieving college credit for this experience.
