Today's the 4th and its time to take back our country!! Me and Jeff had a great time at the Festival in Foster City where we manned a table with lots of handouts and buttons for Richardson and my big beautiful sign !! And, yes, I got my hat! Many people stopped by and talked, took lit and buttons including one button for Vets for Richardson, and we got a volunteer from San Mateo who wants to join our group and come to our next round-up! We had the only Democratic table! So we had it all to ourselves. Even the Republicans had only a generic table. One lone "Mitt" supporter dropped by to bash Bush with us! There were several thousand people there. ( Pics posted soon.)
Just found out that a new Rasmussen poll puts the governor tied with Edwards in New Hampshire! We had it from our internal poll but it's even better from an outside poll!!
Don't forget that on the 7th, Saturday night at 7, there is a Move On sponsored Party for the Planet in Noe Valley (listed in Events). And if that is not convenient there are lots of others; just go to their site and put in your zip code to find out where. This is a major push and great gathering place to find new volunteers to join us in our work for the governor. Please go and let everyone know you are for Richardson!! At Karen Green's request, I've set up a small East Bay Richardson store on CafePress with "Ask me about Bill Richardson" T-shirts for men and women. At our last Roundup Karen said that she wanted people to stop her and ask about the candidate. She also didn't want anything to turn people off, like a URL or pictures or affiliation. Just the invitation to get info.
Street work is so important for grassroots recruiting and education. These colorful shirts are better than buttons (at least in warm weather). Let me know how they work for you or if you want different text. $1 from each item will reimburse local photocopying, the rest goes to CafePress.

Look at our candidates and look at our country. What we need is not a Kennedy. What we need is an FDR. Our nation has as much at stake now as it did 75-80 years ago. A charismatic senator can make America look good, but we need a bold governor who can get things done to make America work right again.
