Attacking bin Laden wherever he is, might be what people want to hear, but it is what most politicians are saying. So, it's just noise. Challenge your opponents that invading a third Muslim nation would be a mistake with far reaching consequences, and that there are more subtle ways to neutralize Bin Laden. It will get their attention.

Bin Laden policy

I don't disagree with your assessment that Bin Laden is better disposed of by other means, but Mr. Richardson looks timid and awkward when questions are asked and other comments made about this subject during national debates. He has to be more decisive and direct. He loses so much more than he gains by answering how he has in the past.

The point that other candidates are saying this already justifies Mr. Richardson's response as well. What gets most voters' attention more than hearing the same thing from just another candidate is when they don't hear it. It makes Mr. Richardson look weak. I had a hard time finding an article this morning that rated Mr. Richardson better than even Edwards at national security. Come on...Mr. Richardson has got to have some mainstream continuity to go along with how he can fundamentally improve our country.

You're right though. Foreign dependence on oil bankrolls maniacs. As a previous Energy Secretary, Mr. Richardson is the leading candidate to facilitate healthy growth away from our addiction.
