The Making of a Surge

We've had a great weekend in Iowa and the polls are starting to move. RealClearPolitics
says's that we've got "Richmemtum."
David Yespen of the Des Moines Register writes:

The New Mexico governor puts together an impressive package. He's of Hispanic
ancestry, which should give him appeal to that growing segment of the electorate
in a number of states. As a Western governor and former congressman, he's
shown his electability. He's also got federal experience as energy secretary
and U.N. ambassador.

A new McClatchy-MSNBC poll put's the Governor at 12% and this clip is a prime indicator of why the Governor is starting to surge.

Watch out for the Richmentum!

Interesting Poll guts

The support among women has climbed dramatically for the governor. It's been a while since I read into one but last time his support was more male than female.

Also interesting on the issue focus. His supporters value Iraq,The Economy, and the Environment. Shows the December messages were received and people are realizing he is a full spectrum candidate.

It also seems to me that between Richardson Biden and Dodd there are @ 20% of voters 28% with undecideds. It looks like there is a real decent chance for Richardson to climb into third, certainly an uptick this close to the caucus is great news. Iowa is looking wide open.

I wish they would add a foreign policy question. Iraq is Iraq Terrorism is terrorism and while both aspects of foreign policy there is really no broad implication foreign policy ranking.

Keep up the heat.

Richardson dropping out of the race
By Stephanie Jan 10th 2008 at 5:20 am MST
I was very disappointed to hear that the man I have supported since March of 2007 was dropping out. No, huge movie star backing, no glitzy friends to dazzle voters..just a real guy with real experience that would turn our nation around when it is needed the most. I listen to a song every day by the Eagles "Long Road to Eden" and the words are so prolific. I think that Bill Richardson is the only candidate who had the vision and experience to take us out of the Long Road to Eden; attack the energy crisis, education, health care and turn our country more "green" friendly. I am sorry Bill Richardson that you are not sticking it out a little longer for voters to see through all the glitz and hoopla of politics.

Hello Mr. Richardson Sir, - Have been supporting You. Now here You are too far behind to make good progress. PLEASE, Please consider asking Your' Supporters to back Barack Obama!! - We have had enough of the $money special interests. And it does sadly appear that Hilliary has accepted $Big Money Interests Lobby support! Obama is not obligated to these $Military and Pharma Corps! Please Bill, consider Real Change with aiding Barack. He - We Need You Mr. Richardson for Real Change away from the $special-interests!! - Fired Up! - Joe Ward 43040
