Fellow Richardson Supporters,

Let's remember that many people who have eventually won the presidency were not successful the first time they ran. Let's remember also that Governor Richardson made few if any enemies in this election cycle. Finally, let's remember that in this election cycle Governor Richardson has raised his profile many fold, both at home and abroad (people at home are talking about the possibility of Governor Richardson being the Vice Presidential candidate or Secretary of State, etc.; the European press was generally impressed with his domestic and international experience when it was announced he was suspending his campaign).

Governor Richardson was a major player in the Democratic party and in international politics prior to running for the presidency. He is now a known entity to the many politically-active segments of the American public, to the U.S. media, and to a large percentage of foreign media outlets. He was more than qualified to win not only his party's nomination but also the presidency when he announced his candidacy. He has now added to that the name recognition necessary to build future coalitions of voters.

He will be back, perhaps in the next Democratic administration, perhaps as a future President Richardson, or perhaps in another high-profile capacity...or perhaps as a combination of two or more of these possibilities.

One way or the other, though, he has pledged to continue to be a major player on the national and international stage. He'll be back.

--Chris
