We are, frankly, not pleased.

Perhaps we should start a writing/blogging/phoning campaign in order to: a.) get the remaining Democratic candidates to focus on issues and stop this ridiculous beauty contest in which they use generic language in order to say nothing whatsoever; and b.) get Governor Richardson considered for Vice President or Secretary of State (the latter of which I would prefer).
The Republicans, for all of their extreme ideological views, are at least starting to debate policy (though it's not exactly the policy many of us would wish to pursue). Meanwhile, we're saying things like "change" and every once in a while "experience," and generally avoiding policy discussions (except in the most generic of terms), and as a result we are looking like simplistic fools, especially now that Governor Richardson, Senator Biden, and Senator Dodd are out of the running.
If we keep this up and an electable candidate such as Senator McCain were to be nominated by the Republicans, we might just manage to blow it again, though the numbers would suggest otherwise. We cannot embarrass ourselves again; our country and our world need to see that a new page has finally turned. Let's let Senators Clinton, Edwards, and Obama know that we are, frankly, not pleased with them at present.

I believe that we've lost the White House once again, when it should have been so easy to win. If a Republican wins, then I'm changing my registration to Independent on 11/5.
Voting for Bill in the primary, and changing my party affiliation are the only ways I can think of to send a message.
