A Teacher's View
I know nothing of Mr. Richardson. I watched the debates Saturday night and I got an unerring sense of honesty from him. I respond to my gut instinct. I'm sorry but Obama makes the hackles on the back of my neck stand up. Edwards has shifty eyes.
I appreciated what Mr. Richardson said at the debates. He said the magic words for me. "Get rid of No Child Left Behind" which should be called "Every Child Left Behind." As a public school teacher in a large urban district I can appreciate the sense of that.
He may not be the prettiest in the Hollywood sense that is so sensitive to sound and video bites, but I see him, and what I see is beautiful to my eyes because I think he speaks for the heart of America. He speaks to my heart.
I want to know more.
