At Karen Green's request, I've set up a small East Bay Richardson store on CafePress with "Ask me about Bill Richardson" T-shirts for men and women. At our last Roundup Karen said that she wanted people to stop her and ask about the candidate. She also didn't want anything to turn people off, like a URL or pictures or affiliation. Just the invitation to get info.

Street work is so important for grassroots recruiting and education. These colorful shirts are better than buttons (at least in warm weather). Let me know how they work for you or if you want different text. $1 from each item will reimburse local photocopying, the rest goes to CafePress.

I really don't think the troops will be out anytime soon.

And to be honest, it isn't really logistically possible to remove all troops without having Iraq fall apart completely, is it?
It's also rather naive to believe that the Iraqis themselves will drive Al Qaeda out once we leave. There was an article in the NYT the other day about graduating college students in Iraq. The majority opinion is that they appreciate that the Americans "liberated" them (Their words, not mine...), but are upset that the Americans made so many mistakes.

I'm sixteen, but this is what the grown-ups do: You fix your mistakes.

Really, now.

This is pretty much the one thing that I can't support in the campaign. Everything else sounds great.

The way I see it, it's not going to happen. So we'll wait out the 6 months, get over it when Congress doesn't de-authorize the war, and get on with the campaign.

If you just do border security, you're only curing half of the problem."

Really, I think his main problem isn't that people don't know enough about him or don't agree with his policies, but that uh, people don't know him period.

And come on, Barack Obama is doing it!

Ours will just be prettier. With nicer fonts. Let me know if you're interested. And even if it doesn't work and nobody asks you about Bill Richardson, that's okay. Just wear it for a week straight and people will ask you. For sure. Just kidding, don't.
