I hope now that you just keep stressing your experience. At some point you will need to say, Hillary's experience was as a wife; That Obama is wet behind the ears; and Edwards has zero experience zip none. For now they will attack each other so you don't need to.
Like I have said all along. Be in every race all the way to the convention. Even if you run out of money or have to fire all your staff. Do not give up even if Feb. 5th is a disaster! It won't be but there are 20 more states after that. Save your money and conserve your time.

Good luck in Iowa. No matter what - Febuary 5th matters more. So does the Convention in Denver. Think about it. What happens after the primaries are over and there either is no clear winner or there is only a nominal winner. Then what? Maybe a candidate that can represent the whole party...Maybe a Governor from New Mexico? Go Richardson!

Sooner or later the campaigns of the Senators will fall apart especially if there is a viable alternative. If it comes down to Billary and Bill who will the 60% of her negatives pick. Please stay in the race all the way to the convention even if you run out of money. Better yet ... quit spending early!

Today I heard Governor Richardson tell CNN that Pakistan's crisis is serious and the Bush administration's response is weak. Governor Richardson gave an excellent analysis of the situation and recommended a course of action. To listen to a video of this interview, go to the front page of the Richardson campaign website.
The crisis in Pakistan is very important to the U.S. as they have nuclear weapons and have been involved with fighting Bin Laden. Having a crisis in Pakistan means our country now faces three crises at the same time: Iraq, Iran and Pakistan.
Listen to the video of Richardson talking about Pakistan and compare him to the other Democratic candidates. Are any of the other candidates as qualified as Richardson? Do they all possess his integrity? Richardson's diplomatic skills? I see no better leader for our country during these difficult times than Bill Richardson.

In Pakistan, the one country where Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and nuclear weapons are all in play, there is political meltdown and violence. There is now major tensions between Turkey and Kurdish militants in Iraq. The Bush administration is using threatening language toward Iran, dangerously increasing tensions with this country.
It seems that now, more than ever, our country needs a leader with the experience and integrity of Bill Richardson. No other candidate has a record to match Bill Richardson in regards to handling difficult diplomatic situations. Recently, a U Tube film of a Richardson ad was sent out to the Illinois Richardson group. This shows how Richardson went above and beyond to help release U.S. prisoners under Sadaam Hussein's regime. It is a very moving story. It illustrates Bill Richardson's diplomatic skill and intelligence as well as his compassion.
I realize that sometimes, it can feel discouraging to campaign for Richardson in Illinois with awareness of Richardson being not as high here as in other parts of the country. But our efforts are truly worth it. Compare Richardson to the other candidates. He stands apart as being the leader with the necessary experience and the vision to lead our country through these terrible world crises toward peace.
A table for Richardson will be set up at the upcoming massive peace rally on Oct. 27th in Chicago. Many thousands will be at the peace rally. Please volunteer for this event! Richardson is the only real peace candidate. Our country needs Richardson now more than ever.

On his blog, Liberal Values, Ron Chusid has posted about a recent Zogby poll that shows that Bill Richardson is the candidate most likely to cross the political divide and pick up votes from the opposing side. Only 34% of people said they would definitly not vote for him, compared to 50% for Hillary. One of the many reasons why he has my support for the Democratic nomination.
Here is a radical thought. Instead of pointing out his differences from the other Democrats, which is important to do...Why not act like he IS the democratic nominee and attack the Republican front runner for not articulating an energy policy? Or at least if he does it's not on his "12 pledges for the American People"..
He is still trying to crammmmmm tooooo much into answers but he came off as up beat and an alternative. I do think its OK to throw down on Hillary though in a postive way.. He could say that Hillary is "more of the same" or "washington as usual". Or he could say I think she would make a great Supreme Court Justice but as President she is more of the same...anyway JOB WELL DONE!
What an appearance! Now if he did that everytime the race would be over in December. Nice personable humorous without the cackle...But he made a crack about "some people say i can't debate". I never ever said that. He could be a great debater if he just practiced a little bit...short answers, tell a joke for gods sake thats all...but it counts for a lot..again way to go Bill.

I have decided to post all of the candidates energy policies at Community Energy Systems website www.censys.org on the blog Energy Tough Love. I originally planned on only posting President Richardson's position with the thought "why give anyone one else air time" BUT the other candidates positions are so bad when compared to the future President's that my thoughts changed to "lets show who is the BEST". If you don't believe me come take a look. I have already posted Hillary's and it is pitiful! Edwards is up next. I may even do the Republicans haha if they have one. Oh and as I say at each post CES is a 501c3 nonprofit. We can make no political endorsements and we aren't. We are posting policy proposals in our area of expertise and making comments.
He said in his PBS interview that he would announce his cabinet in advance. So why not play off of the "funny" played on him. Announce Hillary for the supreme court, announce edwards for HHS so he can work on his health care plan, announce obama for head of homeland security to clean up fema.
Also what about a sense of humor. no candidate has told a truely funny nonpolitical joke yet..does he know one?

Bill is back to cramming stuff into answers! Well half of it wasn't bad but the other half of the answers he crammed stuff in instead of focusing on one answer. At one point he listed 10 countries that diplomacy would help with. HELL why not just list all 180 or so members of the UN? Surely diplomacy would help with the Tamil rebels as well. He needs to sloooooow down and answer the questions simply and for god's sake leave some silence...silence is golden!
We had a nice afternoon gathering petition signatures and passing out flyers for Richardson at Apple Fest in Lincoln Square, Chicago. I had an opportunity to talk to people about Bill Richardson. People had a positive/enthusiastic reaction when I told them about Bill Richardson's experience and views on the issues. However, people were asking me, "Who is Bill Richardson?" We need to increse awareness of Richardson in Illinois. Any ideas? There will be a massive midwest regional peace march in Chicago at the end of Oct.. Before this event, it would be nice if people knew that Bill Richardson is the candidate who has a plan to get all our troops out of Iraq and end the occupation.
Had a nice Saturday afternoon canvassing for Illinois ballot petition signatures at the Glenwood Avenue Arts Fair in lovely Rogers Park (Chicago), USA. A whole day, rain free! And a bunch of spontaneous "oh, Richardson -- I really like him" remarks from complete strangers.
Have to keep up the effort in RP, Evanston, and destinations North (anyone out there in blogland want to help?). A certain, unnamed junior U.S. senator has something of a following in the area. But I can feel the Richardson waves building.

This is going to be a long uphill battle. With the top 3 getting all the money, I hope Bill is not going to make McCain's mistake and spend all his money early. I worked in Paul Simon's campaign in Louisiana. He never made it to the Louisiana primary because he ran out of support. I WANT TO VOTE FOR BILL. Please get to Illinois' primary so I can.
