Well, we had a great call today. Things are really starting to get organized (Tom will email the minutes, Thanks a bunch Tom), and Michigan has a great group of really committed people working for Governor Richardson. I am really enthusiastic and honored to be a part of this group.

I really want to encourage everyone that can to get in on the Saturday call. If you can't make the calls for whatever reason, you can still be really involved, we will keep you up to date on what is happening in the Michigan for Richardson group and the opportunities for involvement.

Many of you know from the email I sent that I am going to Chicago for the AFL/CIO Rally this Tuesday. IF you want to go we WILL get you there email me at wmich4richardson@yahoo.com. I will update on the event when I return. Please contact me if you want to go... we need bodies to show support... Let's really represent Michigan.

For now lets work to grow the group. Ask people if they have heard of Governor Richardson, and give them some information.

Also, it is good for people to be reminded that all of these candidates are in fact, applying for a job, and we are deciding who is the most qualified candidate for an executive position with a LOT of responsibility and requirements for success. Don't we have a right to look at all their resume's? If we were applying for a job someone would look at ours. Let's shift the paradigm of our thinking to remembering that our elected officials work for us, and we the voters need to be respectful of our power in selecting the most qualified candidate. This isn't a beauty contest. (right Gene?)

We don't have to "sell" him at all, his resume will easily do that for him. It's just that people aren't educated about him so they don't know how qualified he is. Try to have a conversation with at least one person daily, even just saying "hey you should check this guy out".

Also, remind your Republican friends that he obtained a high % (I think about 40%)of the Republican vote when he was re-elected in New Mexico so he is moderate enough for many Republicans to support. Tell them we welcome them as part of our base.

Okay that is enough for now. I hope everyone is enjoying there summer.

Michelle
Just a reminder that tonight is the debate it will be on YouTube and CNN.

Also that there is a State Wide Conference call scheduled for this Saturday @ 11:30 AM with smaller gatherings being organized in various cities. Check the event schedule. Tell everyone you know!

Have a great day!
Hi Everyone,
I know you are all wondering what is happening here in Michigan. Yes there are several people working toward getting organized here. It is difficult. Most of you probably received and email from Tom, who is very active and is organizing, Thank you Tom for organizing our first meeting. Hopefully that will help us to get more together as an organized group.

I have been inundated with information and I am doing my best to work through it and still manage my life. I have read several emails about people's frustration with the lack of organization and I HEAR you. It is early and we are grass roots. I like many of you am enthusiastic however, in this arena I am also inexperienced, and honestly very overwhelmed, please be patient. Thank you all so much for caring enough to be involved in the political system.
Hi, I have been out of town and barely able to write anything post debate. I am sure everyone has had a chance to watch the debate and the post debate discussion. Govenor Richardson made an excellent showing and this has really helped the momentum to continue.

There are several small polls still going on and it helps when we vote early and often on these, keeps people thinking about our guy!

Here is a Link for an LA times poll, and Richardson is first now!

Please send to all of your group members and all of your friends.

Have a great day.

Hello, I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

I just sent an email regarding this, but I thought I would also put it on the blog, just in case.

Since we don't have any Michigan house parties for the debate I want to encourage everyone to participate in the live chat. It is a wonderful way for us to connect.

The debate will be broadcast live on CNN from 7:00 - 9:00 PM ET.

Here is the link to sign up for debate parties and the live debate chat.

The virtual event will be begin at 6:30 PM ET/4:30 PM MT and end at 9:30 PM ET/7:30 PM MT.

We hope to start having "meet-ups" known to the Richardson campaign as "roundups" soon, so we can all connect, and get Michigan moving.

Have a wonderful weekend. Michelle Davis
I wanted to tell everyone to have a wonderful Memorial Weekend. Thanks for all the effort and energy you are contributing to help Govenor Richardson become our next President.

I will be gone for the weekend, with limited access to internet. I will be returning next Wednesday.
I just hung up from a conference call with Govenor Richardson for grassroots organizers. Things are really happening. He thanked EVERYONE for their efforts and that extends to everyone who has already signed up for this group. You all Rock!

He told us he will be on Meet the Press Sunday for the full hour, so try to catch it if you can.

Now is the time to get on board and help spread the message. There will be more information coming as to ways that we can all work together to get the most qualified candidate elected.
This is a very exciting day!

Govenor Richardson's official announcement that he is running for President and the launch of the new website. I am so excited to be extending my time, energy and resources in the direction of this exceptional, highly qualified man and the vision he has for our country. I have supported issues in the past, but never decided to get behind an individual with such commitment to his success.

This is my first blog entry so I will keep it short. More to follow.
